This is Jesse Stone, a Robert B. Parker character,
book. I guess the estates of successful
authors license people to continue to write with the author’s characters. Coleman appears to follow the James Patterson
formula of very short chapters, I assume to make it flow faster. This book is about Chief Jesse Stone, former
ball players and current alcoholic in Paradise, Mass. The mystery is the potential reappearance of
a mysterious super group album.
The story moves well, as noted above. The story is good. Jesse is shown to be a flawed and thus a
realistic character.
The characterizations are good.
I enjoyed the book.
This book may have been received free of charge from a publisher or a publicist. That will NEVER have a bearing on my recommendations.
