Pineapple Lies by Amy Vansant, A Pineapple Port Mystery

Charlotte is far too young to be living in a retirement community.  However when her mother died and left her a home that she was to young to own, her elderly neighbors harbored her until she was old enough to live on her own.  Due to a modest inheritance and her embroidery machine she is surviving.  She is however aimless and feeling that she needs a purpose.   This sets the scene for a body dump and a murder hunt.

The neighbors, collectively, take care of Charlotte.  The amusing aspects of Pineapple Port are the characters who live there.   Sadly, my deceased relatives, seemed to have been reincarnated by the author and set to populate the book.   There is a lot of humor for a murder mystery.

I enjoyed the book and recommend it.
