Don’t Let Go by Harlan Coben

Nap Dumas is a police detective with conflicting agendas.   His twin brother, Leo and Leo’s girlfriend, Diane, committed suicide fifteen years ago, or did they?

A small New Jersey town was the home of a Nike base during the cold war.  Post 9/11 the base may have been something else.  The mystery of the base and the unlikely coincidences of multiple classmates being murdered leads Nap on a convoluted trail.

Coben has the ability to maintain a high level of tension throughout his story.   Nap is flawed as well as all the other characters.  The brings a level of realism that supersedes the flawless protagonists.

I enjoyed the book and haven’t read a Coben book that I didn’t like.
