This was an interesting little short story. Jo’s walk in the woods brings back memories of Pet Cemetery. When her father who is suffering from some sort of dementia, says in Welsh to beware, she doesn’t know what to beware of.
The story has detailed descriptions of the environment and
feelings. Jo alludes to a troubled childhood
and mystery. The story left me wanting
more, too many unanswered questions abound.
Marlowe has great descriptive talents and I would hope this
would be part of a much larger tome sometime in the future.
